All about 'Ms. Roehl'

Hello and WELCOME TO MY CAPSTONE PORTFOLIO!

My name is Michelle Roehl and I am a teacher as well as a learner! I am currently in my fourth year of teaching and my last semester of the Michigan State Masters in Education Program. This year I am teaching preschool for the first time in                                                                    my career. In the past I have taught 2nd and 5th grade, each a rewarding and                                                                    exciting learning year.  I have spent my four years teaching at Robbie Hall Parker                                                              Elementary in Clinton Township, Michigan and am proud to call it my home. I have                                                            made some wonderful friends in my collegues and have formed bonds with the                                                                    hundreds of children who pass through the halls everyday! Learning and teaching go                                                          hand in hand and I am always excited to learn new things and bring a fresh spin into                                                          my classroom daily.  While changing grades year to year has been quite challenging                                                          at times, I consider myself blessed to have had many different teaching experiences on                                                          my teaching journey.  Learning new

curriculums and experiencing first hand the continuum of an Elementry

School has been beneficial as well as educational.  Michigan State

Univeristy was my home for many years and I am proud to be earning

my Master's degree through the elite University.  I have a great respect for

MSU, and especially so, in their education programs. As I continue to learn

and work throughout the many years ahead of me, I will always look

back to MSU with great gratitude and love for all the university has done

for me.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with family and friends.  I am a bit of a homebody and enjoy relaxing, family dinners and playing cards with my Grandma! I have an awesome dog named Forest, and he keeps me entertained on a daily basis! Coming from an Italian background, my family is a great support system in my life and I feel they have given the confidence and drive to be the teacher I am today.

Enjoy the slide show above including some of the most beloved people in my life...and my dog :)
